CONTEXT

86% of women in Brussels have already experienced at least one form of sexual harassment in public spaces. Sadly, as with domestic violence, the psychological pressure on victims of sexual harassment and the denial of the situation by a large part of society mean that victims do not file complaints and witnesses do not come forward. Yet all citizens, women and men, whatever their sexual preferences and however they dress, have the right to enjoy public space in peace. It is a question of conviviality, of living together and of well-being that concerns all the communities living side by side in the Brussels-Capital Region.
